We are looking for a sharp, independent, high-energy Growth, Social Media & Community Manager who can help turn our product into one of the most trusted and recognizable fintech brands in Africa.
This is not a “post three times a week and send a report” role. You will help shape how people discover the product, understand it, trust it, join the community, complete onboarding, and become active users.
Role Objective
Your mission is to help the product acquire users, build trust, grow communities, and turn attention into active customers.
You will work closely with the founders, product team, designers, creators, and future growth partners to make the product culturally relevant, trusted, and impossible to ignore.
Success is not just followers or impressions.
Success means helping more users move from:
Content → Community → KYC → Wallet Creation → First Transaction → Active User
Key Responsibilities
1. Social Media Growth & Content Execution
- Own product daily presence across X, Instagram, TikTok, Telegram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and other relevant channels.
- Build and manage monthly and weekly content calendars.
- Create strong content briefs for the design and video team.
- Write high-quality captions, scripts, threads, community posts, and short/long-form video ideas.
- Publish, schedule, optimize, and repurpose content across platforms.
- Help turn complicated crypto, stablecoin, and fintech concepts into simple, relatable African content.
2. Community Building & User Support
- Build and manage product communities across Telegram, WhatsApp, and other approved channels.
- Welcome new users and guide them through onboarding.
- Respond to user questions clearly, professionally, and quickly.
- Escalate product, KYC, payment, withdrawal, or technical issues to the appropriate internal team.
- Build trust with early users and turn strong community members into advocates.
- Gather user feedback, recurring complaints, objections, and feature requests.
3. Growth & User Acquisition
- Support campaigns designed to drive product registrations and active users.
- Help execute referral, ambassador, campus, creator, and community growth programs.
- Identify partnership opportunities with creators, communities, student groups, fintech communities, crypto communities, and relevant brands.
- Work with founders on launch campaigns, activation events, webinars, challenges, and growth experiments.
- Track campaign performance and recommend what to scale, stop, or improve.
- Suggest bold but practical growth ideas without waiting to be told what to do.
4. Paid Growth Coordination
You do not need to be a senior media buyer. However, you should understand the basics of paid acquisition and be able to work intelligently with an ads specialist or agency.
This includes:
- Meta Ads basics
- TikTok Ads basics
- X Ads basics
- Google Ads basics
- Campaign objectives and funnel structure
- Audience targeting
- Creative testing
- Basic optimization
- Reporting on cost per lead, cost per registration, cost per KYC, and cost per active user
5. Reporting & Insights
- Submit weekly growth and community reports.
- Track content performance, engagement, community growth, user questions, and campaign outcomes.
- Report what users are confused about, what content is working, and what is blocking conversion.
- Help build a clear dashboard of awareness, acquisition, activation, and retention metrics.
Ownership Mindset (Required)
We are not hiring task executors, We are hiring builders. If you prefer detailed instructions for every task, this role is not a fit.

What Success Looks Like
Within your first 90 days, you should help product achieve measurable improvements in:
- Consistent, high-quality social media output
- Telegram and WhatsApp community growth
- Engagement quality, not just vanity metrics
- Registrations from organic and community channels
- KYC completion rates from community-led users
- First-time wallet activations and transactions
- Creator, ambassador, or partnership opportunities
- Stronger brand trust and clearer user education
Requirements
Must Have
- 3+ years of experience in social media, community, growth, or digital marketing.
- Excellent written English and strong communication skills.
- Ability to write clear, sharp, culturally relevant content.
- Experience managing social media accounts for a brand, startup, creator, community, or agency.
- Ability to work and think independently and move quickly without constant supervision.
- Strong organization, ownership, and follow-through.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Ability to interpret data and make practical recommendations.
Strong Advantage
- Experience in crypto, Web3, fintech, payments, wealthtech, or financial services.
- Experience marketing to Nigerian or African audiences.
- Experience running referral, ambassador, creator, or community-led growth programs.
- Hausa language proficiency.
- Nigerian Pidgin fluency.
- Experience working with influencers or creators.
- Basic design, Canva, CapCut, Figma, or short-form video editing skills.

- Someone who only schedules posts.
- Someone focused only on followers and likes.
- Someone who waits for instructions for every task.
- Someone who cannot communicate clearly with users.
- Someone uncomfortable explaining financial or crypto-related concepts simply.
- Someone who treats community management as replying with generic comments.
