We are building an AI-powered money platform for Africa. We are creating a simpler way for Africans to move value, access stablecoins, manage digital assets, and interact with financial services through conversation.


Our mission is to make money movement feel as easy as sending a message.
We are looking for a highly creative Brand Designer & Motion Editor who can help make us one of the most visually distinctive, trusted, and culturally relevant fintech brands in Africa.


This is not a basic flyer-design role.

You will work directly with the founders to shape how our product looks, feels, explains itself, and earns attention across social media, product marketing, launch campaigns, creator content, and community channels.

Role Objective

Create premium visual content that helps users:

  • Understand us quickly
  • Trust us with their money
  • Feel excited to try us
  • Recognize us instantly across every touchpoint

You will turn complex fintech, crypto, stablecoin, and AI concepts into clear, high-conviction visual stories.

Key Responsibilities

1. Brand Design & Visual Identity

  • Protect and evolve the product visual identity across all channels.
  • Maintain consistency in typography, colors, layout, icons, motion, image treatment, and tone.
  • Create and improve brand guidelines, reusable templates, social design systems, and campaign systems.
  • Ensure the product looks premium, modern, African, global, trustworthy, and technically sophisticated.
  • Develop visual directions for launches, campaigns, partnerships, announcements, and product moments.

2. Social Media & Campaign Creative

  • Create high-performing static and carousel content for X, Instagram, LinkedIn, Telegram, Facebook, and WhatsApp.
  • Design launch visuals, feature announcements, educational posts, trust creatives, referral creatives, and community content.
  • Build reusable design templates that enable faster content production without making the brand look repetitive.
  • Work closely with the Growth, Social Media & Community Manager on campaign concepts and content calendars.
  • Design creator/influencer collaboration assets where needed.

3. Motion Design & Video Editing

  • Edit high-quality short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, X, YouTube Shorts, and WhatsApp.
  • Create product demo videos, explainers, launch videos, founder-led content, motion graphics, and animated social assets.
  • Add strong captions, pacing, transitions, sound design, visual hooks, and motion graphics.
  • Turn raw founder videos, screen recordings, product walkthroughs, and community footage into polished content.
  • Create simple but premium animations that make complex financial products easier to understand.

4. Product & Marketing Design Support

  • Create landing page visuals, website graphics, pitch decks, presentation decks, launch pages, ad creatives, and partnership materials.
  • Produce product mockups, WhatsApp flow visuals, wallet illustrations, onboarding visuals, and feature explainers.
  • Support the product team with polished marketing-facing UI visuals when needed.
  • Work with developers and product designers to ensure public-facing product screens match our visual standard.

5. Creative Ownership

  • Bring ideas, references, mood boards, visual trends, and creative directions without waiting for instructions.
  • Identify weak or inconsistent brand touchpoints and improve them proactively.
  • Accept feedback quickly and iterate without ego.
  • Balance speed with quality, especially during launch periods.
  • Build a library of organized, reusable assets and source files.

  • Strong reusable social-media and campaign design systems.

  • Premium product-demo and short-form video assets.
  • Faster creative turnaround without sacrificing quality.
  • A recognizable visual language that separates us from generic crypto brands.
  • A well-organized Figma and asset library that the wider team can use.

Required Skills

Must Have

  • 3+ years of experience as a Brand Designer, Visual Designer, Graphic Designer, Motion Designer, or Video Editor.
  • A strong portfolio showing real brand, social-media, campaign, and video work.
  • Strong understanding of typography, layout, composition, hierarchy, and visual storytelling.
  • Excellent Figma skills.
  • Strong proficiency in at least two of the following: Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop, Illustrator.
  • Experience creating content for social media and short-form video platforms.
  • Ability to transform a rough idea or written brief into polished visual work.
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and receive feedback constructively.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Strong Advantage

  • Experience in fintech, crypto, Web3, SaaS, payments, consumer tech, or startup brands.
  • Strong motion graphics and animation skills.
  • Experience creating high-converting ads or performance creatives.
  • Experience working with founders in a fast-moving startup environment.
  • Basic understanding of product design, UI design, or web design.
  • Ability to shoot or direct simple phone-based video content.
  • Knowledge of Nigerian and African internet culture.



What We Do Not Want

  • Generic flyer-only design.
  • Overused crypto visuals, fake luxury imagery, random charts, or cliché “coins floating in space.”
  • Designs that look good but do not communicate clearly.
  • Someone who needs exact instructions for every creative task.
  • Someone who cannot work quickly when launch content is needed.
  • Someone who does not organize source files properly.

Scenario

We are an AI-powered money platform that allows users to move value through conversation.

A user can use WhatsApp to convert USDT into local currency and receive funds in their bank account or mobile-money wallet, with PIN confirmation before money moves.

Your Task

Create three assets for our product feature launch.


Asset 1: X / Twitter Feature Launch Graphic

Create a static launch graphic announcing:

“Convert USDT to Naira from WhatsApp.”

Your design should feel premium, clear, trustworthy, and modern.


Asset 2: Trust & Benefits Carousel

Create a 3-slide X / Instagram carousel explaining:

  • Chat-based money movement
  • Clear conversion before confirmation
  • PIN-gated execution
  • Local bank payout

The goal is to make a first-time user feel safe enough to try us.


Asset 3: Short Motion Video

Create a 10–15 second vertical video for TikTok, Reels, or WhatsApp Status.

The video should demonstrate this simple flow:

User message → Conversion quote → PIN confirmation → Successful payout

You may use mock UI, animation, stock footage, screen-recording style visuals, or motion graphics.


Creative Requirements

  • Use an original style direction.
  • Keep the message clear enough for a non-crypto user.
  • Avoid generic crypto clichés.
  • Design for trust, simplicity, speed, and African relevance.
  • You may use licensed/free stock assets where necessary.

Submit

  • PNG exports of all static graphics.
  • MP4 export of the motion video.
  • Editable Figma source file for static assets.
  • Editable project file where practical for video work.
  • A short explanation of no more than 300 words covering:

    Your visual concept. Your target audience. Why your design choices build trust. How you would adapt the campaign for TikTok, Instagram, X, and WhatsApp
